Grab a Cuppa & We'll Have a Catch Up! ♥

Evening Ladies :)

Due to the fact I haven't blogged in a while I thought I'd write a quick 'catch up' post to update you all with what has been going on recently...

Firstly...

I am now in my final [ever] semester of University and with triple modules and a portfolio to pull together by June, I know I've got my work cut out for me. It's a lot of work to be completed so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that my blogging doesn't suffer; I aim to keep my blog as a place for me to be able to relax and spend time doing something I enjoy, rather than 'have' to do [for example Uni work]... A lot of you girlies helped my out with some of my research for my Dissertation proposal by filling out my survey, so if you were one of them I want to say a massive massive thank you! My final print for my Beauty Magazine work was handed in just 2 weeks ago and here is a sneak peek of one of the makeup looks I created, along with a friend on my sister...

My Beautiful Sister Helen

Secondly...

If you follow me on Twitter or are a friend on Facebook, you will know the trials and tribulations we have faced with one of my Horses. Billy had been on and off lame for around a year and we just weren't getting any satisfactory answers from the vast array of specialists he had been taken to see. We eventually took him to Yarm last Monday for a thorough investigation and off the back of this he ended up having an operation last Friday to cut ligaments in both of his front feet. As awful as this sounds, he is now back at home and has returned to the cheeky chappy we all love him for! It's amazing what the surgery has achieved so far and we are hoping that the improvements will only continue. His stitches and bandages are removed next Thursday by which time he will have healed up nicely and will be allowed to be turned out with his pals in the field :) .. Just can't wait to see him back out on the grass and pain free!

Handsome Billy Boy in the snow :)

Lastly...

I have had a massive clear out of my wardrobe & shoes, including both high street and designer items. I'm thinking of uploading everything to eBay, but wondered if any of you girls would like a sneak peek or first dibs on anything before I do... Just let me know!

Oh and just before I sign off so to speak, here are a couple of snaps of me and my gorgeous cousin Natalie which were just taken at the weekend at a family birthday party. Nat lives in London so don't get to see her all that often, but it's extra nice when I do!.. What do you think.. Any resemblance?

Lancaster Mini Giveaway Winner & Small Catch Up

Evening Lovelies...

So first off I'd like to announce the winner of my itsy bitsy giveaway from the Lancaster haul post which ended on Saturday..

I got 30 comments on the post in question and I used Random.org to input the numbers...

The winner, as selected from the website is Number 9.. The lovely Laura from The Beauty Spark if you don't already follow her fabulous blog, then hop on over and take a peek as it's well worth a read!

Secondly...

Just a couple of lines to catch up with you all.. If you follow me on Twitter, then you'll already know, but my poor Mummy had an accident on Sunday night and since then we've found out she's actually torn ligaments in her ankle.. This basically means she can't walk or really do anything for herself as she tries to get it to mend as quickly as possible! So in between looking after her, our two horses morning & night and then going to work it's been a pretty stressful couple of days.. So I just wanted to apologise for the lack of posts, comments or Tweets.. I am still here and trying to keep as up to date as possible!

Hope you're all well :)

Love Laura xx

FOTN - Little Sister's Art & Design Final Show

So last night, we as a family were celebrating my little sisters completion of her Foundation Diploma in Art & Design. She had, not only completed 3 final pieces of work to be exhibited, but actually organised and rounded up the troops to actually get the show on the road! Consequently we were extremely proud and went along to support not only her but some of her lovely friends :)

I thought I'd do a quick FOTN to show you how I wore my makeup, I pretty much stuck to my Sleek Storm Palette for my eyes, making them super shimmery which I thought was a nice, pretty take on my normal 'smokey' eye!

Here's what I used:

MAC Studio Fix Fluid in NC20
MAC Studio Fix Concealer NC15
Benefit 'Big Beautiful Eyes Kit' - Brown Shadow for Eyebrows
MAC Soft Ochre Paintpot over lids
Sleek Storm Palette:
- Darker Gold All Over Lid
- Shimmery Bronze/Brown In Crease
- Shimmer Champagne to Blend
- Lighter Gold Under Eye (From Inner to Centre Of Eye)
- Bronze/Brown Under Eye (From Centre to Outer Corner)
Rimmel 3 Looks Mascara
Rimmel Glam Eyes Liquid Liner
MAC Blush Baby on Cheeks
Carmex on Lippies to Moisturise!
MAC Hue Lipstick

Hope you like the look, I know it's not very far out of my 'comfort zone', I think I need to have a bit of a play about with some colour and create a different look for you lovelies, you must be sick of similar looking makeup from me! Sheeesh talk about being boring hehe

I also thought I'd post up a photo of my sister Helen from last night...

You may be curious as to what she is wearing, it's actually a dress one of her friends created and she was sort of a 'live' exhibit within the show!

Hope you've enjoyed reading :)

Have a *Fabulous Friday* my little peaches!
