Lancaster Mini Giveaway Winner & Small Catch Up

Evening Lovelies...

So first off I'd like to announce the winner of my itsy bitsy giveaway from the Lancaster haul post which ended on Saturday..

I got 30 comments on the post in question and I used Random.org to input the numbers...

The winner, as selected from the website is Number 9.. The lovely Laura from The Beauty Spark if you don't already follow her fabulous blog, then hop on over and take a peek as it's well worth a read!

Secondly...

Just a couple of lines to catch up with you all.. If you follow me on Twitter, then you'll already know, but my poor Mummy had an accident on Sunday night and since then we've found out she's actually torn ligaments in her ankle.. This basically means she can't walk or really do anything for herself as she tries to get it to mend as quickly as possible! So in between looking after her, our two horses morning & night and then going to work it's been a pretty stressful couple of days.. So I just wanted to apologise for the lack of posts, comments or Tweets.. I am still here and trying to keep as up to date as possible!

Hope you're all well :)

Love for TK Maxx - Part 1 - Lancaster Sunlight Makeup & Mini Giveaway!

Howdy my little cherubs, I hope you're all fabulous :)

I've decided to start a series of posts dedicated to fabulous finds from the ever bargainous TK Maxx. I realise that not everyone has the time, or patience to deal with stores such as the aforementioned, but me personally, I love them! I always seem to find something, whether it be clothing, shoes or beauty related.

All of these items I'm about to mention were purchased from the nearest TK Maxx store to me (Gateshead - Team Valley) and were all bought with my own pennies.

While I was perusing the shelves of the beauty and cosmetics area I got pretty excited when I came across some clear plastic boxes filled with a "pic'n'mix" of products from the Lancaster Sunlight Makeup range. I decided to pick up a couple of these boxes and paid in total around £45 for everything you see below...

As you can see there's quite a lot of products there and in total I think the overall RRP comes to something like £200!

I'm not going to bore you with individual pics of every single item I picked up, but I will share with you some of my favourites :)

Sunlight Palette Natural
This little gem is beautifully luminising on the skin and swirled together gives you a gorgeous overall glow which isn't over the top. Although I don't have one, it really reminds me of the Bobbi Brown Shimmer Bricks. The powder is very finely milled and doesn't have any of the 'flecks' of glitter which can be apparent in the MAC msf's.

Pink & Bronze Blush Powder Duo
How gorgeous does this look please?! It's just a really pretty product which is ideal for popping in your bag for topups throughout the day. The blush gives a nice subtle colour which isn't 'too pink' and the bronze is ideal for contouring. Again, with this product I've been lightly swirling it together and using all over my face/neck/chest area for a light bronzey glow.

Blush Variations - Sunny
This as you can see is a mix of 5 different blush tones which can be used alone, halved or more easily all together to create what ever look you desire. The lighter tones obviously just as blushes, but the bronze is great as a contour colour.

I was obviously able to pick up some really amazing products for a fraction of the price and it really goes to show what can be found in these discount superstores. The quality of these products is really great and the packaging is sleek and very handbag worthy :)

A few of the other products I managed to get my hands on include:
- Illuminating Concealer
- Face Luminizer Gel SPF 15
-Easy Manicure Paintbrush (Nail Polish in Pen format)

Last but not least, I also picked up this little beaut...

Infinity Bronze Lip Variations
This is such a cute little pot and the colours look super pretty, but I've decided to give this away to one of you lovely ladies :)

This will be open to all of my followers (I will check that you do actually follow, as if not this wouldn't be fair).. Just leave a little comment below if you'd like to enter with your e-mail address so I can contact you should you win, I'll use random.org or something similar to find out who is to receive a little parcel in the post hehe. I'll keep the giveaway open till 9pm on the 28th of August - Next Saturday...

How about you lovely ladies... Have you found any fabulous bargains recently?

Much loveeee Xx

♥ Delicious Bargains from the Zara Summer Sale ♥

Evening girlies :)

Hope you're all having a lovely weekend! - Mine has so far consisted of work, work & more work!

I am desperately trying to not let the fact that I don't have a day off until Wednesday depress me ha.. I do however have a casting for a hair & makeup competition with Aveda on Monday; needless to say, the mere insinuation of a 'makeup' casting was enough to bring about a major breakout in my chin region... Let's just say Laura won't be getting the job! ha

To put an end to my rambling I thought I'd show you all a few things I managed to pick up in the Zara sale in the last couple of weeks. I have to admit I totally love Zara after falling in love with the brand on a holiday to Tenerife 5 years ago; they have a fabulous flagship store there :) - I'm hoping to go back in October for my 22nd Birthday!

These little, or should I say rather chunky, beauts were first spotted by myself and my sister when they first arrived in store, probably back in March sometime. We were silly in not picking them up straight away, and ummed and ahhed over them.. Consequently they all sold out, aside from 3 pairs which were in the shop window on mannequins! We then asked a member of staff and the lovely girl told us they would either be a size 5 or 6 and we could put our name down for them, to be called when they eventually changed the display. Lo and behold, we got a call when the shop went into sale telling us that in fact they were a size 5 and we could come and pick them up :) .. Their original retail price was £89.99, but due to them being part of the display I got them for just £49.99!

As the wedge also has a platform, they are super comfy to walk in, a major plus!

When I was in the store picking these up, I also spotted out of the corner of my eye these other two pairs of summery sandals...

These ones here are reminiscent of so many on the high street, the familiar style of this seasons footwear; the 'sandalboot' - At first I was really quite wary of this concept as I have a major hangup about cutting my legs off at the ankle, I feel it makes me look stubby, even though I'm a fairly tall 5'8ish.. However, the material these have been made out of is a really soft slouchy denim. As you can see by the tootsie marks on the sole, I've been wearing these quite a lot! Mostly for work, with jersey or denim hareem style pants (eliminates the illusion of a cut off leg)... These were originally £39.99 but I got my hands on them for a mere £19.99

Finally, under a pile of messed up t-shirts, I found these little gems! How cute are these please?!

I'm yet to wear these, but I think they'll work really well with a maxi dress for an evening... They'll also be ideal to take away on my holiday...(that I'm yet to book! hehe) - Again, I think these were supposed to be £39.99 and I got them for a steal at £19.99 :)

So there we have it, my lovely purchases from Zara! - I bought quite a bit in the Topshop sale too, which was surprisingly really good up here (Topshop Metro Centre & Debenhams) - Although a lot of the things I bought were cute little jumpers which will be ideal to take me through into Autumn *shudders* at the thought of cold weather :(

I may do another post on what I picked up at Topshop, so if you'd like to see what I got my hands on just leave it in a comment below :)

I'm hopefully going to post the winner of my blog giveaway tomorrow as well, so stay tuneddd :)

Nighty night princesses :)

Look what dropped onto my doormat!...

If any of you lovelies follow me on Twitter, you'll know that I was the lucky winner of Jen's giveaway over at her blog 'allyouneedisloveandlipstick' :)

I was firstly super excited to have won as I never, and I mean ever win a thing hehe I must be the most unlucky soul on the planet.. But most importantly, the giveaway was to win a tube of the much raved about 'Cover Girl Lash Blast' mascara, amongst other fabby things!

So, after opening my little parcel this was what I found!

I received a lovely card from Jen (who has the most beautiful handwriting by the way!) along with my goodies!

I haven't yet had the chance to use the mascara, but I shall be taking it for a rather excitable spin tomorrow!

Along with the mascara was a gorgeous stick of strawberry Carmex; which again was a first as I've only ever used the original and the cherry, a pair of super summery earrings from Forever 21 and some rather scrummy fruit flavoured Jolly Ranchers!

I just wanted to take the opportunity to say a massive thanks to Jen, if you don't already follow her then take  you should take a hop skip and a jump over to her lovely blog by clicking here!

I'll try and do a FOTD or Review of the Lash Blash Mascara for you all by the end of the week :)

Hope you all had a great weekend!

Recent Goings On & A Perfect, Purse Friendly Summer Scent...

Hello all my Lovelies!

Sorry I've been a little MIA these past couple of days, my boyfriend has been working away from home for the past week and I had a couple of days off work myself, so I decided to pay him a visit :) .. He's been in the cutesie market town of Richmond in North Yorkshire; we were lucky and got some fabulous weather, so spent the day scoffing ice cream, skimming stones in the river, walking the pup, visiting Richmond Castle & enjoying the sunshine!

Richmond Market Place from the top of the Castle Tower

Lottie :)

We had a lovely couple of days topped off with a last minute BBQ with all of his family last night, which was the perfect end to the day - I was just gutted to have to leave and drive home without him, to then have to be at workies for 9am this morning!

On another, more beautified note! - I was having a quick peek around the shops last week and ended up wondering into Marks & Spencer. I was surprised to find they had a greatly expanded cosmetics section. The one area which caught my attention the most, mainly due to the heavenly scent hanging around it, was all of the perfumes! - I'd just been saying how much I was in need of a new day time summer perfume which would be easy enough for me to just carry around with me to top up throughout the day, but never in a million years did I expect to find what I was looking for in M&S.

They had a few little beauties on sale, but in the end I opted for this very cute, very girlie looking scent!

It is aptly named 'Butterfly', comes in a 90ml bottle and is just £12!!
The smell is super super summery, very fresh and totally feminine.. I am in love with it, it's just amazing, especially for just £12! - The bottle as you can see is really cute and looks great on my dresser, although I have to admit it's been living in my handbag so I can reapply when necessary :)

I've had loads of compliments on this scent and have really grown to love it, it will most definitely be one of my scents of the summer! - I think I may in fact make another trip back to M&S to pick up another as the range was really great and the value is second to none :)

Have any of you had the pleasure of smelling this lovely delight?.. Do you have any fab summer favourites I should check out, I'd love to hear!

Oh and whilst i'm here! - I know I said I was going to sort out a giveaway for reaching my *50* Followers last week, but i'm nearer to 100 now would you believe it than I am to 50, so i'm going to now wait till i'm lucky enough to reach *100* followers and then do a proper giveaway, rather than the mini one which I originally had planned!

Hope you're all well girlies!
