Look what dropped onto my doormat!...

If any of you lovelies follow me on Twitter, you'll know that I was the lucky winner of Jen's giveaway over at her blog 'allyouneedisloveandlipstick' :)

I was firstly super excited to have won as I never, and I mean ever win a thing hehe I must be the most unlucky soul on the planet.. But most importantly, the giveaway was to win a tube of the much raved about 'Cover Girl Lash Blast' mascara, amongst other fabby things!

So, after opening my little parcel this was what I found!

I received a lovely card from Jen (who has the most beautiful handwriting by the way!) along with my goodies!

I haven't yet had the chance to use the mascara, but I shall be taking it for a rather excitable spin tomorrow!

Along with the mascara was a gorgeous stick of strawberry Carmex; which again was a first as I've only ever used the original and the cherry, a pair of super summery earrings from Forever 21 and some rather scrummy fruit flavoured Jolly Ranchers!

I just wanted to take the opportunity to say a massive thanks to Jen, if you don't already follow her then take  you should take a hop skip and a jump over to her lovely blog by clicking here!

I'll try and do a FOTD or Review of the Lash Blash Mascara for you all by the end of the week :)

Hope you all had a great weekend!

OOTD: Embracing the Maxi

Evening my little lovelies & I hope you're all having a fabulous weekend in the sun :)

This is what I wore yesterday whilst on a little last minute shopping trip (...Items purchased coming soon!)

I'm really loving maxi dresses at the moment; they're great for both during the day or on a night as it all depends what you wear them with i.e. you can dress them up so easily with a few aptly placed accessories :)

I find them to be super comfy and so easy to wear, I'll defiantly be purchasing more to have a few more choices in my wardrobe :)

Maxi Dress - TK Maxx (Around 2 years ago now) but was around £24.99
Knitted Waistcoat/Cardi - All Saints
Sandals - Topshop
Sunglasses - Celine

What are your opinions on Maxi's? .. Yay or nay?

FOTN - Little Sister's Art & Design Final Show

So last night, we as a family were celebrating my little sisters completion of her Foundation Diploma in Art & Design. She had, not only completed 3 final pieces of work to be exhibited, but actually organised and rounded up the troops to actually get the show on the road! Consequently we were extremely proud and went along to support not only her but some of her lovely friends :)

I thought I'd do a quick FOTN to show you how I wore my makeup, I pretty much stuck to my Sleek Storm Palette for my eyes, making them super shimmery which I thought was a nice, pretty take on my normal 'smokey' eye!

Here's what I used:

MAC Studio Fix Fluid in NC20
MAC Studio Fix Concealer NC15
Benefit 'Big Beautiful Eyes Kit' - Brown Shadow for Eyebrows
MAC Soft Ochre Paintpot over lids
Sleek Storm Palette:
- Darker Gold All Over Lid
- Shimmery Bronze/Brown In Crease
- Shimmer Champagne to Blend
- Lighter Gold Under Eye (From Inner to Centre Of Eye)
- Bronze/Brown Under Eye (From Centre to Outer Corner)
Rimmel 3 Looks Mascara
Rimmel Glam Eyes Liquid Liner
MAC Blush Baby on Cheeks
Carmex on Lippies to Moisturise!
MAC Hue Lipstick

Hope you like the look, I know it's not very far out of my 'comfort zone', I think I need to have a bit of a play about with some colour and create a different look for you lovelies, you must be sick of similar looking makeup from me! Sheeesh talk about being boring hehe

I also thought I'd post up a photo of my sister Helen from last night...

You may be curious as to what she is wearing, it's actually a dress one of her friends created and she was sort of a 'live' exhibit within the show!

Hope you've enjoyed reading :)

Have a *Fabulous Friday* my little peaches!

I've joined the *Tweeting* clan...

Just a quick one to let you lovely ladies know I've just gotten a Twitter account *shock horror* - I do realise I am lightyears behind everyone else, but never the less it would be fab if you could do a hop, skip & little birdie flutter over to my Twitter page and check it out .. I'm rather lonely over there all on my lonesome! hehe

Hope to see you all over there!

Moisturisation for Girlies on the Go! - Soap & Glory 'Girligo' Review

Hola ladies!

I hope you're taking full advantage of this glorious weather which has descended on the UK for the past week! I certainly have, when I've not been working :) I thought I'd take a quick break from the sun to come online, catch up with you lovely lot, read some bloggies and post this review!

I'm quite a newbie to Soap & Glory, but ever since purchasing their 'Hand Food' and 'The Righteous Butter' I've been hooked! Not only on how well the products perform and live up to their claims, but the heavenly scent which everyone now associates with Soap & Glory; their 'Fun Fragrance'. It's just an amazing smell and I sometimes find myself trying to catch a quick whiff after I've applied it throughout the day, it's just gorgeous!

So, I don't know about you girls, but I always moisturise on a night time. I tend to have quite dry skin, especially on my legs and have always used body butters, which I find to be very moisturising, to try and keep my legs looking hydrated and to banish off the greyish tinge that can sometimes occur with my skin (minus fake tan I am VERY pale)

I always tended to moisturise on a night time in order to let the product, whatever it may be; Most commonly Body Shop Body Butters, work their magic underneath my PJ bottoms and so when I woke up in the morning I'd be left with super silky, moisturised pins! This always worked so well, but with the onset of the Summer and the warm weather we've been *so kindly* bestowed with, I felt I needed a lighter moisturiser which didn't leave much residue, was absorbed quickly but still left me with the feeling that my legs (and body) were being hydrated and left soft and supple.
This is where this little gem comes in...

  Introducing Soap & Glory 'Girligo'

I picked this up in my local Boots store for a mere £6 and it has been everything I wanted it to be! - Soap & Glory describe it as a 'Spray-on Body Moisturizing Mist', which, as I was after a lighter moisturiser has been absolutely perfect. It has the trademark S&G smell, which is described as being, '...a tempting blend of bergamot, peach, strawberry, jasmine, mandarin & musk'
The moisturiser comes in this spray bottle which means application is super easy, just take off the plastic cap which covers the spray nozzle and spritz yourself from head to toe :) .. I find if I'm just applying one layer of this that I don't even need to rub it in, with it being a mist it is quite fine and dries into your skin really well. However, sometimes before bed I might apply twice and then just lightly rub it in to hurry the process along slightly. I've also found with this product that it is light enough to wear at any time of the day, apply in the morning just 5 mins before you get ready and you won't feel all sticky and have gunky moisturiser all over your clothes *total nightmare of mine - hate this feeling

I've also been known to give my arms and chest (whatever is on show really) a quick spritz during the day to perk up my skin and give it a bit of a glow :)

Overall I can't rate this product highly enough, it really does it's job; leaves my skin super soft, sweet smelling and looking glowing and supple. I think my love affair has well and truly set in with this brand and I can't wait to try more out. After reading reviews on the 'Sit Tight' Body Firming Formula, I'm dying to try it so perhaps this will be my next purchase!

Have any of you lovely ladies tried Girligo or Sit Tight for that matter?

Love and Hugs Xx

The Elle 7 Decades of Beauty Competition...

As we all know, No 7 recently launched it's '7 Decades' collection to celebrate 75 years of their now iconic brand.

As I was flicking through this months Elle, I was drawn to a competition which the magazine is holding in conjunction with No 7. Each decade, from the Forties to the Noughties has been represented beautifully with its own 'mini-collection' and iconic looks created for each decade in question. These ones below, being for the 1940's (Classic Glam) and 1960's (Graphic Charm)...

So here's what Elle say...

"Showcase your own make-up - Are you a whiz with a make-up brush and enjoy creating new looks? By taking inspiration from the seven iconic looks created using the No7 Decades Collection, we want you to send in your own make-up creation. Seven winners will appear in a future issue of ELLE magazine and on elleuk.com and each receive the entire No7 Decades Collection (that’s 21 fabulous limited-edition pieces!). So get creating."

The Competition is open until the 2nd of July and all entries can be done online via the Elle Website

When I saw this, I just thought it would be a great opportunity for you girlies to get out there, create some fabulous looks and hopeful get the recognition you deserve :)
I'm not quite sure which decade I'm going to attempt, but I'm off now to have a bit of a play about & see which one intrigues me the most!

Hope you find this useful and some of you apply!

Would be great to see your pretty faces up on the Elle website and possibly in a future edition of Elle Magazine (How exciting is that possibility please?!?) hehe

SundayClub ♥ Hair: Beachy Tousled Waves

You're probably all wondering what on earth SundayClub is! hah .. I live in a sea side town; South Shields to be precise [It's where the Great North Run ends, if any of you happen to watch on TV?] anyways back to the point! Because it's a seaside resort, we have quite a few nice pubs lining the sea front and they're a perfect place to have a few chilled drinks on a Sunday evening :) .. It's also buskers night and you always get some really good singers [I'm getting paid to say this by my friend James hehe] .. Nahhh he's actually really good!

So Sunday gone we all headed down there for our obligatory SundayClub 'gathering' and had a fabulous night, filled with copious amounts of Rosé :)

When looking through some of the photos which had been taken, I came across this one...

I've had quite a few comments from you lovelies asking me how I do my hair/how I create volume in my hair, so I thought when I came across this I'd do a quick post.

Basically, this was the Sunday night.. The previous night I showered as normal, towel dried my hair and then  simply sprayed some Aussie 'Dual Personality' texturising spray [Featured in my 100+ Followers Giveaway] all over it and then twisted it into a bun on top of my head and secured just with a bobble. The next day I wasn't doing anything other than applying some fake tan for the night, so I just left my hair up in the bun from the previous night. Once I was all ready to go out, I simply took out the bun, shook my head upside down to loosen off the curls and then spritzed it with a touch of hairspray. To add some volume to the back. I teased it a little with a tailcomb and picked out a few sections to backcomb.

Literally that was it! - This photo was taken nearer to the end of the night, and the waves had stayed put perfectly and looked even better as they were falling out...

This isn't the way I wear my hair everyday, but I just thought it might give you an idea as to how to achieve the 'must have' beach style waves for summer, without using a ton of product or lots of damaging heat!

If you'd like to see a post where I run through a step by step 'normal' hair routine; What products I use when blow drying and how I style my hair with lots of volume and natural waves [as seen in some of my FOTD posts] then just leave a comment below and I'll try and get that done asap!

Hope you're all having a *Fabulous Friday*
Much loveeee Xxx

NOTD: Revlon *Posh Pink* ♥

Good afternoon my little buttercups :)

Hope you're all enjoying the Sunshine, I certainly am, although my nemesis, hayfever has decided to rear it's ugly head - Itchy, puffy eyes are not a fantastic look!

I just sat out and painted my nailies this gorgeous Barbie pink colour from Revlon in Posh Pink...

The first picture was obviously taken outside so you can see what the colour is like in the sun [no flash] and then the second was taken indoors [flash]...

I'm wearing my Nailene Press-ons (short) so the application was amazing, no streaking and got this colour after the second coat. They dried super quick and without any smudges etc.. I love painting my nails when I've got falsies on, they always look so much better and you end up with a much cleaner, sleeker look.

What do you think of this colour? It reminds me of my MAC Saint Germain lipstick, which I love love love!

Summer Inspired FOTD - Using My New Stila Shadows

Evening lovelies :)

The sun once again had it's hat on and most defiantely came out to play today, which in my case meant; A summery dress, ice cream and less makeup!

I recently purchased some Stila eyeshadows after reading a post by Hannah over at Baby Blonde

The site Cheap Smells are currently selling the shadow pans from as little as £3.45.

Having previously not tried any of the products at all, I thought it would be rude to pass up the chance, at this price too it was a fab offer! - I ended up ordering; Espresso (Matte Brown), Twig (Shimmery Coppery Brown), Lemon (Shimmering Yellow) & also Pointille (Shimmery Pale Pink)

I also ordered the Quad Palette to hold the pans, as they're bigger than MAC's and would not fit in a Pro Palette

So to get down to business, I thought I'd create a more summer friendly look using, in the end, 3 of the shadows :)

*Hello Frecklesss....*

So here's what I used to achieve this look...

- Dior Skin Pure Light Foundation in 100
- MAC Studio Fix Concealer NC15
- MAC Paint Pot in Soft Ochre
- Benefit Eye Bright on Brow Bone and Inner Corners
- Stila Lemon all over Lid
- Stila Pointille on Brow Bone/Inner Corners
- Stila Espresso to fill in Brows and also a tiny bit in outer corner, blended into the crease
- Rimmel 3 Looks Mascara (Used on number 2 for not such a dramatic look)
- Topshop Creme Blush in Flush
- Rimmel Natural Bronzer in 022 Sun Bronze
- Carmex to moisturise Lips
- MAC Myself Lipstick

I really hope you all like this look and I really recommend the Stila shadows, they're really incredibly pigmented, colour pay off is great and they're so easy to work with and blend!

How have you all been wearing your makeup now the warmer weather is upon us?

Hope you're all fabulousss

Love Moi! Xxx

Hawaiian Tropic; The Smell of Summer - New Product Range

Hope you're all having a fabulous Friday ladies, the sun is out where I am and I've got a weekend of things to do with the girlies planned so should be muchos fun! - Will try and get some decent photies so I can do some OOTD posts next week :)

So yesterday as I was in my local Asda, purchasing the obligatory Sugar Free Redbull 12 pack and a rather large pick 'n' mix, I found myself somehow in the beauty & cosmetics aisle... How did that happen!? hehe

I was rather excited to come across all of the Hawaiian Tropic Tanning Oils and Sunscreens on special offer [£6 per bottle] along with a new product range which the company has launched!

I managed to get my hands on these two gorgeous products...

Hawaiian Tropic Coconut Body Butter and Hawaiian Tropic Sunkissed Moisturising Lipgloss SPF 25 in Mango and Papaya

For me Hawaiian Tropic is just the smell i associate with going on holiday and being in a gorgeous hot country lying around a crystal clear pool *Ahhhh get me to a plane asap!!*.. When I opened the body butter to have a quick smell I was reminded so very clearly how much I love this brand and their very memorable scent.. It smells heavenly, just like the oils and lotions and is a gorgeous creamy texture. I haven't had a chance to use it just yet, but I can't wait to slap it on, smell like I'm on holiday and be fabulously moisturised at the same time!
The lip gloss on the other hand I have tried; the smell is AMAZING! As soon as I applied it to my lippies I was aware of how smooth the texture is and how moisturising it was. However, I must warn you; it tastes as good as it smells and I had to restrain myself from licking it off! It comes in a very handy tube, similar to the Lancome Juicy Tubes, which makes for easy application and I must have reapplied about 3-4 times last night cause it felt so good and this morning my lips are super soft and supple! Due to it having a spf of 25 also, it'll be perfect to carry about in your bag during the summer to stop your lips getting nasty burns or becoming chapped :)

I will definitely be repurchasing both of these products, like I said before I picked them up in Asda, the body butter was a mere £4 and the gloss was just £3 - You can also pick the butter up in 'Lime Coolada' and the gloss in 'Island Berry'

So girlies, if you're like me and love Hawaiian Tropic I'd suggest you hot foot it down to your local Asda and pick these products up ASAP!

Much love and coconuts ;)

Overdue! - Bank Holiday FOTD ♥

As I mentioned in an earlier post, I went out last Sunday to celebrate the Bank Holiday Weekend - I live right at the coast, and it's a massive tradition in my town for everyone to pile down to the coastal pubs which line the Sea Front!

I forgot to get a proper close-up of my makeup, but I thought I'd do a quick bit of Photoshop cropping to show you all how I wore my face!

L'Oréal Studio Secrets Smoothing Resurfacing Primer
MAC Studio Fix Fluid NC20
ELF All Over Cover Stick in Apricot Beige (To Conceal)
MAC Paint Pot in Soft Ochre to prime eyelids
MAC Patina all over lid
MAC Smut in outer corner & under eye
MAC Woodwinked (just a tiny bit in line with my pupil - doesn't really pick up on this!)
MAC Espresso for my brows
Maybelline Falsies Mascara
Rimmel Glam Eyes Liquid Liner
ELF All Over Cover Stick in Lilac Petal on my cheekies
Rimmel Natural Bronzer in 022 Sun Bronze

I give credit for my tan to my ever faithful friend St Moriz!

I basically wanted to create a look which was polished, but yet not too glammed up :)

Hope you like it & let me know your thoughts...

First NOTD: *Orange Bliss*

So I thought I'd do a quick post showing you all the polish which adorned my nailies today!

Apologies for the poor pic quality, I just took it on my BB whilst I was in bed this morning hehe!

The colour is Orange Bliss and is from the Rimmel Lycra Pro Range - I think I picked this up in Superdrug around about a month ago thinking it would be such a cute colour for summer!

Although it's called Orange Bliss, I'd say it was more of a corally orange, so is very wearable :)

The polish went on really well, no streaks and my first coat dried really quick to enable me to apply another - I've been at work all day today, in a busy Menswear Boutique and although I have no chips, I do have the tell tale tip wear, which really can be all I can expect after such a busy busy day!

Have any of you tried this colour, or any other from the range - How do you rate them?

Hope you're all enjoying your weekend!
